From my perspective as CEO of one of the world’s largest chemical companies, I can tell you that my industry colleagues and I are constantly talking about carbon neutrality. The reason is that chemicals and energy, the dual drivers of the manufacturing sector, have to move towards lower-carbon energy and products, as well as drive a more-circular economy. We need to engage in bold, strategic initiatives that unlock the chemical industry’s potential to evolve, not just to cope with...but to take advantage of...the transition to lower carbon energy.
